Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. (SAQA)
is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the art quilt
through education, exhibitions, professional development, documentation,
and publications.
Our region includes Maryland, DC and West Virginia and includes more than 80 members.
We have regular Parlor Meetings on the third Saturday of January, April and September. (NOTE IN 2014 we will meet on March 29th instead of April) We meet from 10 am to noon. Many members bring a sack lunch and we share lunch and fellowship together following the meeting. SAQA members in northern Virginia are welcome to join us. Our meetings might be closer than those in your region.
Our Parlor Meetings include a mini-program about artistic development and a mini-program about professional development. We also have a time for feedback where a member shares a piece of artwork and can get critique, feedback or suggestions.
